Headless Shopify Development
Headless Shopify.Past the theme ceiling.
Shopify themes are excellent until the day they are not. The tell is consistent: you are making design decisions based on what Liquid will allow, your product page has picked up six apps that each add load time, and mobile conversion has been quietly sliding for a year. Headless decouples the storefront from the theme layer and rebuilds it in Next.js, while Shopify keeps doing what it is genuinely great at, which is checkout, payments, and inventory.

When to skip this
This is notalways the right call.
Headless is the wrong purchase for most stores. If you are early, on a clean theme, and not measurably losing revenue to theme constraints or app bloat, stay where you are. The cost is real and the payoff only shows up at volume. We will say so on the call rather than after you have paid.
FAQ
Questions,answered straight.
Will I lose my Shopify admin?
No. You keep the full Shopify admin, checkout, payments, and inventory. Only the storefront layer changes, which is what makes this a manageable project rather than a replatform.
What happens to my apps?
Some carry over, some are replaced with native code, and some turn out to be doing nothing but slowing you down. We audit them before quoting so there are no surprises.
How much faster is it really?
It depends entirely on your starting point. A bloated theme with a dozen apps can improve dramatically. A lean, well-built theme may barely move, which is exactly why we check first.
